The Toomai String Quintet– From Bach to Bluegrass
The Toomai String Quintet is an award-winning ensemble devoted to playing a variety of music from around the world, with a focus on Latin American and Cuban repertoire. This award-winning group formed at Juilliard over 15 years ago and have been entertaining audiences across the US ever since, performing concerts for presenters including Carnegie Hall, 92 Y, and Lincoln Center, among many others. Featuring special guest Dennis Lichtman on mandolin.

He was at the forefront of the Jazz Manouche movement, which took hold in Paris almost a century ago. His astonishing talent and unmistakable cool have made Django Reinhardt an icon to music lovers around the world. For this concert, we bring together five internationally renowned interpreters of Django’s music plus two very special guests.

Featuring Allison Semmes, who played Diana Ross in Motown, The Musical, and Jovian Ford, a core member of The Platters.

Charlie & The Tropicales—featuring Grammy winner Mireya Ramos
A fixture of New Orlean’s Frenchmen Street scene, The Tropicales is a one-of-a-kind 60’s-style Caribbean lounge band which gets the party started with torrid horns, tropical rhythms, and infectious grooves. Directed by band leader and DownBeat Magazine favorite trombonist, Charlie Halloran, the band will be joined by special guest, Grammy winner Mireya Ramos.
